Because Roathe has So Much Going on appearance-wise, I made this post so I can link it in lieu of writing the same multi-paragraph description every time it was relevant...

Roathe is a tall (6'2" / 178cm), blue-skinned man who looks like he’s composed of two halves melded together. Because he is!

Roathe is a Protoframe, which keeping jargon out of the equation, means that he’s half himself and half biomechanical machine by the name of “Uriel”. Uriel is responsible for the parts of Roathe that look more demonic, and trace a line almost diagonally across his body from his right arm and shoulder down to his left leg. And also the fact that he has a tail! Very important!

The Uriel parts of Roathe’s body are all dark greys and blacks with cracks and seams that emit a dim light akin to fire. These parts are all hard and rigid, a bit like a turtle shell, but with some properties of metal. His right hand is also clawed, and while generally sharp, Roathe does file the tips down somewhat to make handling things more practical. This is very much unlike his tail, which ends in a very sharp and usable blade that looks like a knife.

His chest, arms, and legs are all partially covered with red and gold armor, and if it looks like it’s melted onto his body, that’s because it has! As a part of the process of becoming a Protoframe, the armor is largely a part of his body now, including being able to sense touch in the same way as anything else. Some pieces are removeable, like the pauldrons or the gauntlet on his left arm, but most of it is not. Where the Uriel parts directly touch his skin, it has a similar effect where it looks like it had burnt or torn its way through, leaving rather nasty looking scars around the area. Also, very importantly (to me), Roathe’s feet have also changed to be more like devilish hooves.

As for the Orokin parts of him! Other than being blue, as is typical for high-ranking Orokin, Roathe has eyes that have black sclera and greyish irises, and very slightly pointed ears. His left hand bears some metal that’s a different aesthetic than the rest, and this is because Orokin love body modification! Roathe’s hands are decorated with filigreed gold metal, including the removal/replacement of his fingernails with metal too. They’re serious about this. There's also a small, decorative piece of similar metal on his chin.

Otherwise, Roathe is almost always wearing his diadem (the golden headpiece) and has his hair in an elaborate, beaded style. Since he’s very limited in what clothing he can wear now, he wears a rather simple tunic around his waist to cover his bits. Mostly, at least. It’s not a very long tunic, and he doesn’t care about that fact…
